Eversharp Company History
Eversharp is an innovative solutions provider. Eversharp created and patented the lead advancing mechanical pencil in 1912 and in addition developed and patented ink delivery systems for decades for fountain and ballpoint pens.
As technology progressed so has Eversharp. For the last decade Eversharp conceived and created antimicrobial pens, counter security pens, and clipboards, and has been a pioneer and leader in antimicrobial dispersal delivery systems for plastic, metal, fabric, wood, and film laminate products. Eversharp recognized the need for user friendly health care products.
In 1999 the Samaritan Medical Assist Product line was developed. With the integration of silver ion technology, Eversharp's Samaritan Antimicrobial Products were recognized as effective elements for reducing the growth bacteria mold and mildew in laboratories, clinics, hospitals, offices, hospitality settings, restaurants, schools and homes. Samaritan Antimicrobial Products utilize a patented antimicrobial formulation which stops the growth and migration of bacteria.
It's chemical content is completely nontoxic and does not allow for bacteria to mutate to a resistant form. It simply stops the growth and migration of bacteria on the treated surface. The active ingredient is silver. Silver for hundreds of years has been an acknowledged curative and has been medically recognized and utilized for bacteria inhibiting procedures. This silver ion procedure continually interacts on bacteria and effectively and measurably stops its growth.
In our committed and sustained desire to participate in state of the art Antimicrobial technologies, we have evolved into Antimicrobial "Nano" particle technologies. We have collaborated with both Penn State Univ. and North Carolina Univ research triangle companies which utilize academic and scientific technology from Universities such as Duke, NC State, and North Carolina. Our recent 2010 result is a nano particle copper silver alloy, which is both antimicrobial as well as anti fungal. The additive is highly effective against bacteria, fungus, mold, and mildew. this technology is truly "cutting edge" and deserves serious consideration in your specific application.
